These terms govern your purchase and use of the VanMate Package and the WeightMate tool. By buying or using them, you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and readable. Questions: hello@vanmate.nl.
1. Who we are
VanMate is run by Arthur & Saskia de Vries, based in the Netherlands. Contact: hello@vanmate.nl.

2. What you're buying
The €29 founding offer is a one-off purchase: the 35+ page English "How Not to Build a Van" ebook, 12 months of VanMate Build Manager app access from purchase, four checklists (buying, tools, security and first trip), and the WhatsApp community invite. Delivery is by email after payment is confirmed. Download links last seven days; save the files to keep them or contact us for fresh links.
3. Your account
To use WeightMate you activate an account and set a password. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account. Access is personal to you and your build; please don't share your login or redistribute the materials.
4. Licence & intellectual property
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the ebook and checklists for your own van build, including together with your build partner. The package includes one app account, not separate collaborator accounts. You may keep the downloaded files. Do not resell, republish or distribute them beyond your shared personal build. All content and the VanMate name remain our intellectual property.
5. Payment & price
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and include applicable VAT. The launch price is a limited founding-member offer.
6. Refunds & right of withdrawal
Your statutory consumer rights apply. Immediate delivery alone does not remove your right of withdrawal. Where applicable, you may withdraw within 14 days by emailing a clear statement of your decision to hello@vanmate.nl. Any exception for digital content requires the legally required express consent and acknowledgement; we do not infer these merely from a purchase or download. If your files fail to arrive or you cannot access what you bought, contact us so we can resolve it. Nothing here limits your rights when digital content or services are faulty.
7. WeightMate is an estimate — important
WeightMate uses AI to estimate the weight of your build from the information you enter. Estimates are approximate and provided for planning and guidance only. They are not a substitute for weighing your vehicle at an official weighbridge, and must not be relied on as the sole basis for decisions about road safety or legal compliance. You are responsible for your vehicle's actual weight and for meeting the law. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of an estimate.
8. Availability
New purchases include 12 months of Build Manager app access from the purchase date. There is no automatic renewal and no automatic charge after that. Any additional period would be a separate choice. Earlier customers keep the access duration promised with their purchase. We aim for reliable availability; AI estimates depend on third-party providers. We will not use feature changes to remove your statutory rights or the essential service you purchased.
9. Acceptable use
Please don't misuse the service — no attempting to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorised access, and no uploading unlawful content. We may suspend access for serious or repeated misuse.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts. Your mandatory local consumer-protection rights still apply.
