These terms govern your purchase and use of the VanMate Package and the WeightMate tool. By buying or using them, you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and readable. Questions: hello@vanmate.nl.
1. Who we are
VanMate is run by Arthur & Saskia de Vries, based in the Netherlands. Contact: hello@vanmate.nl.

2. What you're buying
The VanMate Package is a one-off digital purchase that includes the "How Not to Build a Van" e-book, the VanMate Build Manager app (planning tools plus AI weight estimation), checklists, and access to our community. Digital items are delivered instantly by email and download link.
3. Your account
To use WeightMate you activate an account and set a password. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account. Access is personal to you and your build; please don't share your login or redistribute the materials.
4. Licence & intellectual property
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your own van build. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute them. All content and the VanMate name remain our intellectual property.
5. Payment & price
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and include applicable VAT. The launch price is a limited founding-member offer.
6. Refunds & right of withdrawal
Your purchase is digital content delivered instantly. By buying, you ask for immediate access and acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has begun (EU Consumer Rights Directive). Purchases are therefore final. If your files fail to deliver, or you can't access what you paid for, email us at hello@vanmate.nl and we'll put it right or refund you.
7. WeightMate is an estimate — important
WeightMate uses AI to estimate the weight of your build from the information you enter. Estimates are approximate and provided for planning and guidance only. They are not a substitute for weighing your vehicle at an official weighbridge, and must not be relied on as the sole basis for decisions about road safety or legal compliance. You are responsible for your vehicle's actual weight and for meeting the law. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of an estimate.
8. Availability
You get access to WeightMate for the life of the product, including updates. We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue features. The tool relies on third-party AI providers whose availability is outside our control.
9. Acceptable use
Please don't misuse the service — no attempting to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorised access, and no uploading unlawful content. We may suspend access for serious or repeated misuse.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts. Your mandatory local consumer-protection rights still apply.
